The Type IIR medical face mask ensures particles such as spit from the wearer don't reach other people in their environment. Similarly, the Type IIR face mask also protects the wearer of the mask from exposure to blood and other bodily fluids from other people.
The 'R' means the masks are fluid resistant. As a result, they offer more protection than standard masks as they block out potentially harmful droplets from entering the respiratory system. Use of this mask will enhance infection control.
